Instructions

1. Select the temperature threshold you want to use. The warmer the temperature, the more tracks will appear. (If you check the "Enhance" box, the images are color enhanced to show only pixels at and colder than the threshold -- this can take several seconds to compute and display...)
2. To select a track, I recommend first zooming in on the image. As you "drag" the mouse (hold left button down and move pointer) you will see a rectangle appear. This is the "zoom region".

   If, while dragging, you press the "Shift" button down, the rectangle will get smaller -- this is useful for a "2x" zoom if you want to use it.

   When you release the mouse button, the images will be reloaded, zoomed to the region you specified.

3. To select a track, move the mouse pointer near the track, hold the CTRL button down, and "click" the mouse. The selected track will turn red. If you want to select a different track, just point the mouse at it, hold CTRL down and click.
4. To move the "environment" points, you should next hold the CTRL button down, and start "dragging" the mouse near one end of the track. When the lines are close to what you want, release the mouse button. Then point to the other end of the track, hold CTRL down, and start dragging the mouse. The end points will be linearly interpolated along the track.
5. When you are happy with the environment (actually, you can skip step #4 completely if you want), then you can click "Make Graphs". The graph will appear, and the data from the RUC analysis will be plotted. You may choose to see up to 3 parameters together in the graph using the checkboxes along the top of the plot. When you're done, click "Dismiss". You may have more than one graph displayed at once if you like.

If you want to track radar, then back on the main window, click the "Radar" button, and the radar will be overlaid on the satellite image. The "threshold" boxes will be relabelled with dBZ values. You would then do the sample process for making the environment graphs.
